La FRRD Freeride Crew,  nel periodo che va da maggio ad ottobre, è anche ad Upega (in provincia di Cuneo a 1.300 metri circa s.l.m. e a meno di un’ora d’auto da Imperia), dove gestisce nel comprensorio un “bike park” costituito da 5-6 percorsi freeride.

Tutti i tracciati partono da circa 2.000 metri con arrivo in paese, in un contesto naturale fatto di boschi di conifere. Sono tutte discese con differenti caratteristiche, ovviamente il terreno da sottobosco la fa da padrona, non mancano salti e drop, appoggi lavorati ad arte e pendenze di un certo calibro. “Ciondolino”, “Tobogà”, “3 Gajne” e “Il Colletto” sono nomi già memorabili per chi ci è venuto a trovare in questi ultimi anni. C’è anche la possibilità di girare su alcuni percorsi della vicina Nava, come il terribile “Traumatologia” ed il leggendario “Il Capo”, con spostamenti leggermente più lunghi.
Per le risalite ci si avvale dei consueti servizi shuttle, le due immarcescibili jeep Mercedes con carrello da 8 posti ognuna, avvalendosi di guide esperte.

Appena la neve si scioglie si inizia a girare, per tutta l’estate fino – sempre tempo permettendo – agli inizi dell’autunno.

Inoltre, se volete pernottare in loco o semplicemente assaggiare i ravioli più buoni della zona, ci appoggiamo al rifugio “La Porta del Sole” nel suggestivo centro del paese di Upega, dove Micol e Marzia non vi faranno mancare la loro cortesia e simpatia.

The FRRD Freeride Crew, in the period that has gone since May to October, it is also to Upega (in the province of Cuneo to 1.300 meters on the level of the sea and less than one hour of car from Imperia, one hour from Nice-France airport), where it manages in the district a "bike park" constituted by 5-6 freeride trails.  All the trails depart from around 2.000 meters high with arrival in town, in a context natural fact of woods of conifers. All descents have different characteristics, obviously the ground from brushwood is like it owner, there’re jumps and drops, supports worked and inclinations of a certain caliber. "Ciondolino", "Tobogà", "3 Gajnes" and "Il Colletto" are already memorable names for the one that has come here in these last years. There’s also the possibility to ride on some trails of the near Nava, as the terrible one "Traumatologia" and the legendary one "Il Capo", with longer moves slightly.

We go up using some usual services shuttle, the two immarcescibilis jeep Mercedes with cart from 8 places each, using experienced guides.

Snow just loosens it is begun to ride, for the whole summer until - always time allowing - to the beginnings in the autumn.

Besides, if you want sleep on the spot or to taste the better ‘ravioli’ of the zone, simply supports us to the alpine shelter "La Porta del Sole" in the suggestive center of the town of Upega, where Micol and Marzia won't make you miss their courtesy and liking.
